Bookish Things I've Been Drooling Over

Bookish Things I've Been Drooling Over
The Jane Austen Lego Set

Hello Lovely Readers! I hope you are enjoying your summer wherever you are! July was a VERY busy month here, with family visiting for my daughter’s 2nd birthday. But overall it has been filled with laughter and fun.

As you might guess, I LOVE almost anything related to books. What you may not know is that I am a bit of a penny pincher; I often take a lot of time to consider a purchase and will often wait until it is on sale. So I find myself looking at bookish items that I would love to own but probably won’t buy any time soon/at all (the online equivalent of window shopping). So I thought I would show you some of the bookish things I have come across that makes my heart go pitter patter. To be clear, I AM NOT SPONSORED/PAID BY ANY OF THESE COMPANIES…but if they ever want to send me a free thing, I wouldn’t say no ;)

1.Tribute to Jane Austen Lego set

https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/tribute-to-jane-austen-s-books-40766

As I have mentioned repeatedly, and will continue to mention, this year is Jane Austen’s 250th birthday. She is a brilliant writer and one of, if not my favorite author of all time. Lego has decided to recognize her contributions with this super cute Lego set. Here is the description from the site:

“The detailed display model features a Jane Austen minifigure in her lovely home, which contains a small writing table with a quill, a piano with sheet music, a bookshelf, flowers, a cozy fireplace and paintings on the wall showing scenes from movie adaptations of her books. A nameplate is attached to a sturdy base and, from the rear, the display model looks like a book.”

No surprise, it is currently unavailable. But who knows- maybe one of you will be able to purchase one if they are restocked.

2. Rifle Paper Co.- Book Club Collection

https://riflepaperco.com/collections/book-club

The ad for this collection came across on my Instagram page-which you should totally follow if you don’t already (@ladybookishblog).  When I later looked it up, I was in love. They have a large variety of bookish themed items including art prints, bags, books, and the CUTEST fleece blanket (which might go on my christmas wish list). Take a browse and enjoy!

3.Take Me to the Bookstore Sweatshirt on Etsy

I saw this many months ago but immediately fell in love. A book themed cozy sweater in green? SIGN ME UP. Honestly, I try to avoid Etsy because I want to buy everything! If you put in ‘bookish attire’ on Etsy, you will find so many amazing things.  I am so thankful I live in a world with such talented people 🙂

4.Commit to Lit Tote Bag on Storiarts

I was introduced to Storiarts when my lovely mother in law got me their Pride and Prejudice box. Since then, I occasionally go on their site to see their lovely wares. They have various tote bags themed around different classics. I am drawn to this one because it covers all literature, which is good for someone who is slightly indecisive *cough*. I would recommend checking out Storiarts as a company if you want high quality bookish goods.

5.Literary Lady Tote Bag from The Enchanted Book Club

https://shop.enchantedbookclub.com/products/literary-lady-tote

I have been on the email list for the Enchanted Book Club because I DESPERATELY want to go on one of their literary book trips to Prince Edward Island. So when I saw that Haley Solano (the founder) was releasing a tote bag featuring some of my favorite authors on it- I internally squealed.  I don’t need another tote bag... I don’t need another tote bag…

6.Book Nook Kits from Hands Craft

https://www.handscraft.com/collections/diy-book-nook-kits?page=1

I am tickled by this trend of decorating one’s bookshelves. These DIY book nooks were brought to my attention last fall and I still enjoy looking at them. I love that there are different themes including Secret Garden, Sherlock Holmes, and Shakespeare and Co.

So there you are- some bookish items I have been ogling. I hope you enjoy some of these shorter, lighter posts along with my more heavily researched ones (yes, Don Quixote is coming). Please feel free to subscribe to the blog, follow me on Instagram @ladybookishblog, and join our Facebook Group (Lady Bookish). Now I want to ask YOU- what bookish items do you find yourself looking at over and over? Comment below!

Happy Reading!
